Saddleworth RDA celebrates opening of new RDA Hub Building

On Sunday 23 February Saddleworth RDA were absolutely thrilled when Clare Balding popped in to officially open their fabulous new RDA Hub building.

Built with a grant from Tesco Bags of Help community scheme and furnished with a grant from Saddleworth Round Table, this completely bespoke building provides a welcoming space for parents, riders and volunteers with a great view of the arena and stunning moorland landscape beyond. The Hub also provides shelter, storage, office space, a refreshments area and is a community zone for all stakeholders to enjoy. They are looking forward to putting up lots of photographs that celebrate the achievements of their riders and volunteer team.

Clare met the ponies, watched a lesson, talked to riders, volunteers and thanked the grant providers before settling in for a chat, a brew and a slice of cake! Regional Chair, Gill Petty and County Chair, Sheila Saner were also very special guests and were delighted to be there to support this fantastic project. Everyone had an amazing time and it was an unforgettable afternoon.
